Dr. Erin deJong, Ph.D., L.Psych.

Dr. Erin deJong, Ph.D., L.Psych.

Licensed Psychologist | Director

Dr. DeJong is a licensed psychologist and the Director of Olive Grove Psychology Group. She specializes in psychological assessment across the lifespan (ages 6+), with particular interest in complex presentations, children in care, and psychovocational and disability-related assessments. She is deeply committed to ethical, evidence-based practice and values careful evaluation, clear communication, and thoughtful recommendations.

Dr. DeJong completed her doctoral training in clinical psychology at the University of New Brunswick with broad experience across children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. She routinely provides supervision and training to developing clinicians and doctoral students.

Kimberley Chalmers

Administrative Assistant

Kimberley is the administrative assistant at Olive Grove Psychology Group and is often the first point of contact for clients and referral sources. She brings many years of experience working in medical and clinical office settings and supports the day-to-day administrative functioning of the practice.

Kim assists with intake coordination, scheduling, billing inquiries, and general questions, and is committed to helping clients feel informed, supported, and welcomed throughout their interactions with the clinic.

Jacalyn Saunders, M.Ed.

Psychometric Assistant

Jacalyn (Jackie) brings a strong background in education and assessment to her role as a Psychometric Assistant at Olive Grove Psychology Group. She previously worked as a Teacher of the Deaf and assessor within provincial programs supporting children who are deaf or hard of hearing, where her work focused extensively on standardized assessment, classroom observation, and data-informed educational planning.

At Olive Grove Psychology Group, Jackie alongside and under the supervision of licensed psychologists to support the psychological assessment process. Her role includes behavioural observations and other assessment-related activities, contributing her expertise in in information gathering, child development, and educational assessment within a psychologist-led framework.

At Olive Grove Psychology Group, all services are provided in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal standards governing the practice of psychology in New Brunswick and Canada.


Our work is guided by the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick (which outline psychologists’ professional responsibilities, ethical decision-making, and standards of care), as well as applicable provincial and federal privacy legislation.


We are committed to protecting client privacy and confidentiality in accordance with:

  • PHIPAA — New Brunswick’s Personal Health Information Privacy and Access Act (which governs how personal health information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed within the province), and
  • PIPEDA — Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (which sets national standards for the handling of personal information in the course of commercial activities).


These frameworks help ensure that clients are treated with dignity, respect, and transparency, and that psychological services are delivered in a manner that is ethical, lawful, and responsive to individual needs.
